Recreation Programs and Providers

The Denver Borough park system currently includes a variety of active and passive recreational facilities including baseball/softball fields, basketball courts, a Recreation Center, a Scout House, walking trails, assorted pavilions, barbecue facilities, playground facilities, and a fishpond.  The facilities include a mix of traditional park and playground facilities such as swings and slides, as well as more modern facilities such as a roller skating/ice skating rink and a Skate and Bike Park.

The regional recreation programs and activities held in the Denver park system include baseball and softball practices and games coordinated by the Cocalico Baseball Organization (CBO); football and cheerleading practices held by the Cocalico Midget Football Association (CMFA); lacrosse games and practices held by the Cocalico Lacrosse Association; gymnastic programs held at the Denver Recreation Center; boy scout and venture scout meetings and programs; the renting of pavilions used by families and businesses in the area for reunions, barbecues, and picnics; the local consortium who provides summer lunches for children in the community two (2) times per week at the Park; and as the location of the annual Denver Community Fair.
