Meetings

The Planning Commission meetings are open to the public. The Planning Commission meets at:

  • 7:00 p.m.
  • Second Tuesday of every month
  • Denver Borough Municipal Building 
     501 Main Street 
     Denver, PA 17517

Responsibilities

The Planning Commission is responsible for making recommendations to Borough Council regarding the adoption of the official map, the adoption and amendment to a municipal zoning ordinance, and all proposed subdivision, land development, and storm water management plans. The Planning Commission is responsible for reviewing and evaluating land development and subdivision applications and providing guidance and issuing recommendations to the Borough Council. Critical in its evaluation role, the Planning Commission’s task is to ensure that all development occurring within the Borough adheres to the community's zoning and land development ordinances and meets the Borough’s Comprehensive Plan. 
 

Members

The Planning Commission’s five members are appointed by Borough Council and each serve five-year terms. Current members include the following:

  • William McQuate, Chairperson
  • Fred Wagaman, Vice Chairperson
  • Stephen Bonner
  • Sandy Flory
  • Linda Gerhart
