Denver Borough Official Map Project

The Denver Borough Planning Commission has been given the charge by Denver Borough Council to work with key stakeholders in the Borough and the larger Cocalico region, the public, and the Lancaster County Planning Commission (LCPC) to develop an Official Map for Denver Borough.  An Official Map is a map and ordinance that shows existing public lands and designations for future public lands and facilities in a municipality.  Facilities are designated to address issues such as bicycle and pedestrian paths, existing and proposed parks and open spaces, intersection improvements, parking facilities, road extensions, and stormwater facilities.

The next Official Map Public Meeting to discuss the Business Community is scheduled for Tuesday, September 22, 2020, at 7:00 p.m., at the Denver Recreation Center, 900 Spruce Street, Denver.  The Denver Recreation Center is an air conditioned facility that will provide the necessary space to meet safely and to follow all social distancing requirements.  Please note, anyone attending the meeting will be required to wear a mask when entering and inside the building.

Brad Stewart from the LCPC will facilitate the discussion and the interactive activities.  The meeting is open to the public and will include the use of maps, plans, and interactive activities to help our community depict potential future public facilities and to establish a process for the Borough to facilitate construction of these facilities.

2020 Denver Borough Official Map Project Remaining Schedule

  • Official Map Document – Draft Review.
